An hour from Vegas is the great Bullets and Burgers where you can shoot some really big guns which are illegal just about everywhere, usually for very good reasons. There are several places to shoot guns in Vegas but most don't have an extensive selection and especially not access to the really big guns. Some of the guns at Bullets and Burgers are restricted and cannot be fired within 50 miles of an international airport, which is why it's so far from Vegas.

Started by getting picked up in a van at our hotel. We drove almost an hour to the Hoover Dam visitor center. On the way there we had all the gun options explained to us and the purpose of the stop at the Dam was for the driver to call in our choices so they would be ready for us by the time we got there.

Upon getting to the Bullets and Burgers facility well into Arizona we were informed the Sin City Hustler, the world's longest monst truck, was operational and that we would get a ride in in. We put on hearing protection and went for an interesting and very noisy ride.

We then went to the first and shorter gun range where we got a safety briefing and then presented first with the hang guns and then the submachine guns we each chose. We were called up two at a time to the counter where our guns were laid out. The instructor showed us how to operate the gun, had us squeeze off a couple rounds in single fire mode to get the feel for it and then switched it to full-auto where we got to spray the targets.

When everyone was done we moved to the seocnd and much longer range with the really big guns. These were a lot more interesting, especially the Garrett Snipe Rifle. I found it to be extremely powerful but also extremely easy to fire accurately. I was able to git the hubcap targets very easily.

We ended the trip with the Burgers portion of the trip at the restaurant and gift shop on site before being taken back to our respective hotels.
