The first stop was in Niagara Falls. I was last here when I was pretty young with many family and don't have many memories of it. I thought it would be fun for the kids, but unfortunately my kids are extremely jaded by our recent trip to Iguazu Falls so they found it only so-so.
The other thing that was unique is this is our 2nd road trip via the Tesla and FAR longer than our previous road trip to Minneapolis. This trip we used the new trip planner software in the Tesla navigation which arranges for SuperCharger stops. We managed to do it with four stops each way, some as short at 15 minutes, others where we ate lunch and lasted 40 minutes. Stopping about every two hours really broke up the trip nicely so we arrived fairly fresh.

The Falls were cool but Niagara Falls is horribly touristy in a Wisconsin Dells sort of way. The natuaral beauty of the area is almost completely gone and replacement with terrible chain restaurants and other lame attractions. The major disappointment of the trip was the "free breakfast" at the Embassy Suites. Despite the high price and amazing room what passes for breakfast was appalling. The pancakes were dry, the "french toast sticks" were more like long slender doughnuts and even the "made to order" omletts were not good. Don't get me started about the coffee.
We did find one gem of a restaurant called Pho Xyclo, a Vietnamese Pho place a few blocks west of the strip, well into the locals neighborhood. Delicious fresh foods, nice and spicy and amazing Vietnamese Coffee.
