☼ Puebla, Mexico: Trip Report
Jump to:

Chicago is cold and snowy still so when I got a chance to get away to Puebla, Mexico for a long weekend I had no choice but to go. Puebla is the fourth largest city in Mexico and only about 1 ½ hour drive from Mexico City. It was founded by the Spanish in the 16th century as the mid point between Mexico City and the port city of Vera Cruz but is also surrounded by quite a few amazing pre-Columbian sites.

My last full day in Puebla I took a tour of two nearby sites. First I went up into the mountain to get a closer look at the Popcatépetl Volcano. Afterwards I visited the Great Pyramid in Cholula.
