Our final day of hiking was a short (relatively) trip up a hill to Angels Landing.

It was the hottest day of the trip by far so water was important. The hike starts at the Grotto stop on the shuttle bus. From there you cross the Virgin River, make a right and go up some occasionally steep switchbacks. After a while there is some releif from hot sun when the trail continues through a narrow crevice between two hills. There is another steep section then that ends at Scout Lookout.

There is where a lot of people stop and turn around because the reset of the hike is not for the faint of heart. From there it's a very narrow path with steep drop offs often on both sides. It's only a half mile from Scout Lookout but it can take a while. There is a heavy chain to hold on to during the scarriest parts.

The effort however is worth it because at the very end you are rewarded with nearly 360° views of the Zion Canyon. We took tons of goofy pictures and then quickly headed back down.

This is just a general route. Clearly my Garmin Fenix wasn't able to maintain a decent signal with all the narrow canyons and other rock walls for GPS signals to bounce off of. The total hike is supposed to be around 5 miles round trip.
