Getting to Cambodia from Chicago is pretty long and arduous. We flew ANA Airlines through Tokyo to Bangkok. We got to Bangkok near Midnight so we spent the night at the Best Western Amaranth near the airport. We then took a (very) short flight to Siem Reap, the town near Angkor Wat.

Some of the highlights here including flying over the Arctic Ocean and seeing cracked sheets of ice. The Best Western was a really nice place to begin getting over jetlag.

The flight to Siam Reap was an interesting flight because even though they announced flying time was only 35 minutes a meal was served. By the time they distributed the meals it was almost time to land so you had to eat fast before the flight attendants snatched the meal off your tray table.
