Around Manhattan

Mostly stuff around Manhattan that didn't warrant it's own page.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Manhattan - Madison Square Garden. It's a very small hotel that looks almost squeezed between two older buildings. The rooms are small but well equiped with a small desk, wardrobe and a flat panel TV on the wall. It was tight for the four of us but we managed. The fee breakfast, cleanliness, excellent service, great location and very cheap price made up for the small size of the rooms.

Chrysler Building

One of the standout buildings in Manhattan is the Chrysler Building. A lot of people just think of the Empire State Building since it's once again the tallest building in Manhattan. Although interesting, I don't think it compares to the Chrysler Building in terms of pure architectural interest. The more I looked at the building the more I found to appreciate. From the "rays" around the top to the "Deco" birds protruding from the building. It's just plain cool.
